A great kitchen or laundry isn't just about choosing the right cabinet colour — it's about understanding how you use the space every day. At VIKING, our in-house designer works with you from the first concept to ensure the layout, materials and details are right before a single wall comes down.
We work with quality cabinet suppliers including IKEA and Kaboodle, pairing them with custom benchtops, bespoke handles, feature tiling and considered lighting to create spaces that feel considered and built to last. Servicing Wollongong, Tarrawanna, Thirroul, Shellharbour, Kiama and across the Illawarra.
What's included
Design & Planning
In-house design consultation, layout drawings, material and tile selection, full scope documentation before we touch a wall.
Demolition
Full strip-out of existing cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks and linings. Site protection and clean disposal throughout.
Cabinetry
Supply and installation of quality cabinetry. We work with IKEA and Kaboodle carcasses paired with custom doors, panels and hardware for a bespoke result.
Benchtops
Timber, laminate, stone and engineered options. Templated, fabricated and installed by our trades — edge profiles, sinks and cooktop cutouts included.
Splashbacks & Tiling
From handmade Zellige and feature tiles to large-format stone-look porcelain. All formats, all sizes — laid properly with correct substrate preparation.
Plumbing
Rough-in and fit-out by licensed plumbers. Sinks, tapware, washing machine connections and hot water — done right with a paper trail to prove it.
Electrical
Power points, under-cabinet lighting, rangehood wiring and appliance connections. All work certified by licensed electricians.
Final Fit-out
Handles, appliances, accessories, sealing and finishing. We don't hand over until every detail is right.
Recent projects
Tarrawanna, NSW
A complete kitchen transformation in Tarrawanna — full demolition and rebuild with matte black handleless cabinetry, book-matched marble benchtops and splashback, integrated Fisher & Paykel appliances and a custom concrete-base island with waterfall marble top. The rounded plaster rangehood and reclaimed timber pendant light were designed in-house to complement the space. Every detail considered, from the under-shelf LED lighting to the matte black tapware and sink.
Tarrawanna, NSW
A Tarrawanna laundry transformed from a purely functional room into one of the most admired spaces in the house. Handmade Zellige tiles cover the full splashback wall, lit from above by a continuous LED strip beneath a custom oak floating shelf. White cabinetry with bespoke timber handles pairs with a solid oak benchtop and undermount sink. A custom tower cabinet houses the stacked Fisher & Paykel washing machine and dryer, with a pull-out drawer below for laundry essentials — every centimetre considered.
